Will Taylor Swift become the most awarded artist in MTV Video Music Awards history?
We’ll find out after Tuesday’s awards show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The “Midnights” superstar leads the 2023 nominations with eight — seven for her “Anti-Hero” music video and a nod in the artist of the year category. She holds 14 Moon Person trophies, and could catch Beyoncé, who has 16, and Madonna, who has 20.
Nicki Minaj returns to host and perform, while Sean “Diddy” Combs will be honored with the Global Icon Award, and Shakira will receive the Video Vanguard Award. Olivia Rodrigo, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, Karol G, Kelsea Ballerini, Fall Out Boy and TOMORROW X TOGETHER are among the artists set to perform.
